Hi, I’m Mitzi

I’m here to hold space for you. The number one word my clients use when they describe their session is “comfortable.”

Whether it’s through a portrait session or coaching / mentoring, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, empowered, and inspired. (And don’t worry, I’ll usually be sillier than you.)

If you’re willing, you’re ready. Trust me.

Sincerely,

Mitzi

Mitzi Starkweather is a portrait photographer, educator, writer, and speaker in Southwest Missouri. She loves to create safe spaces for others to meet and accept their truest selves, whether it’s with her camera, written words, or intentional conversation. Mitzi has achieved Associate Photographer Accreditation through The Portrait Masters (2021) and is a Portrait Masters Instructor (since 2023). She’s also a breast cancer survivor, and this experience influences the way she boldly shows up in the world and uses her light to inspire others.

Mitzi enjoys her work, but as a means to enjoy the things that matter most to her: her husband and toddler, other family and friends, good food, and good (but also very bad) movies.
