AS I AM

The portrait experience for people who want to remember who they are.

I know what you’re thinking and no, there’s no need to change or become anything before you do this.

Most people reach out to me when they’ve overcome something big, stepped into a new chapter, or just feel like something is “off” when they look (or avoid looking) in the mirror.

Sometimes they reach out because they’re tired of waiting to feel like they’re “enough” or worth celebrating. They’re tired of constantly moving the goal post and think, what if I’ve been holding the key all along?

No matter why they reach out, they’ve all decided they’re tired of chasing trends and other people’s expectations of “good enough.”

This portrait experience is designed to give you space to be seen as you are.

There’s no need to perform, prepare, or change yourself. In fact, there’s nothing you have to change about your everyday self to be worthy of this experience.

You’ll be guided through the entire experience in a way that helps you slow down, breathe deeply, and stop focusing on what you aren’t so you can finally embrace who you are.

It’s raw, high-quality, and real — like sashimi, not fish you forgot to cook.

This photoshoot is different

No performance, changes, or “improvements” needed. My job (read: honor) is to create an environment so accepting and safe that you can’t help but let your walls down.

Most people expect to change things about themselves before they’re photographed, but this experience is different.

I truly believe there’s nothing you have to change about your everyday self to be worthy of experiencing this.

You get to show up exactly as you are, and I get to guide you every step of the way.

The Incredible Change

People show up feeling unsure, disconnected, or uncomfortable being seen.

Then, I watch peace wash over them. They stop focusing on what they’re not and start celebrating who they are.

They see all the things everyone else loves about them, and by the end of our time together, they love those things too.

  • no photoshop

  • no new wardrobe

  • no stiff poses

  • no "for his eyes only"

  • no rules

  • no gender norms

  • no age limit

  • no perfection

  • no time like the present

"I've had many shoots over the years, but this time it was not about photographing how small or how "on brand" I could be. This time, it was about capturing a coming home. What you see in my 'AS I AM' raw photos is a version of me that feels safe to open the doors, explore and take up space. This version of myself ate a three course meal and drank wine the night before this photo shoot, and she laughed... a lot. These photos, thanks to Mitzi's calming energy and her radical welcoming of being your true self, make me say, "I made it to shore." These photos are the first time I am seeing the real me through the lens of a professional camera.”

Investment

This is a personal, one-on-one experience with you, and me.

Most clients invest between $2200–$5500+ depending on how they choose to enjoy their images.

If you’ve read this far, you probably know whether you’re ready to trust fall into this experience.

hi, I’m Mitzi

It took me nearly 20 years as a portrait photographer to realize people don’t actually need to be changed.

What they really need is a space to let their walls down, stop performing, and just be.

That’s why I created the AS I AM raw portrait session, and why I offer it to you now.

I’m a recovering perfectionist too — that’s why I created this experience. It reminded me why I’m alive. I know it can do the same for you.

You don’t need to change yourself.

You need to say yes to an experience that will change the way you see yourself.
